Back Yard Family Photography Session
Sometimes I really have to pinch myself! :)
I love, Love, LOVE my job, and I sometimes have to actually convince myself that taking family portraits is really my job.
I love the fact that I am able to meet new and interesting people, and create lasting heirloom artworks that they will cherish, and one day, will pass on to their children’s children. Now doesn’t that sound insanely cool?!?
And if that wasn’t sweet enough, I have the absolute best clients!
Take the Vogel Family, for example:
This family is so full of love and devotion to each other that it seeps from their pores!
Most of this family lives here in Toronto, but Lauren (the oldest sibling) is way far away in the sunny California. So when I heard that Lauren was flying in for a visit, to make sure she does not miss this photo shoot, I was over the moon.
What a wonderful bonus!
In addition to Lauren’s awesome surprise, I was please to see how well behaved all the kids were.
I have photographed dozens of babies, as well as having toddlers of my own. But I have not yet had the chance to shoot teens in my career.
Being one myself back in the day, I don’t remember many teens that were as well-behaved, courteous, helpful, and polite as were Maddie and Jackson. During our 90-minute family photography session in their back yard, they not only put their best feet forward, but they even assisted me with my reflector! Awesome right?!
Senior/Graduate photography may be in my future yet! :)
And how can anyone forget about Evangeline! What an adorable little darling she turned out to be.
I still have the urge to reach out and pretend to squeeze her cheeks through my monitor! So cute!!
After being stuck indoors all winter, the freedom of being in a gorgeously-puffy gown and discovering all the wonders of the outdoors really made her smile!
Mommy Anita wanted to keep the photo session very natural and authentic. So I recommended holding this family photography session in their back yard. Convenient and beautiful. But most importantly, sentimental and special to every family in their own way.
Your home is your most sacred place in the world.
Is is your sanctuary and a reflection of your family – filled with memories and milestones.
I was so happy to photograph this gorgeous summer sunset in Anita’s back yard.
Creating beautiful portraits that carry a great deal of meaning to her family. Portraits that they will love and treasure for years to come!
Thanks to Jackson and Maddie for assisting in creating these late-sunset portraits :)
